The Departments of English and Philosophy of DCT‟s Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar, Goa will be organizing a Two -Day National Conference on “The Role and Relevance of Media Ethics in Contemporary Society” on 20th and 21st March, 2018. We cordially invite you to participate in the deliberations at the Conference.
The Conference is informed by the belief that media, across modes, channels, topographies and demography, plays a pivotal role in building, influencing and shaping public opinion. Therefore, there is a constant need to reassess and reinforce the significance of ethicality in the dissemination, production and even consumption of news. The Conference aims to generate a wide range of deliberations and discussions on the topic by bringing together different stakeholders – journalists, academicians, media persons (including bloggers and social media users) and students – on one platform to provide different frameworks of critical dialogues.
Eminent figure in the field of journalism and media ethics, Shri. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta has graciously consented to be the Keynote Speaker at the Conference.
