Government Schemes

  • National Scholarship of Rs. 50/- per month available to those standing first/second/third and in that order in Goa at the last S.S.C. Examination.
  • E.B.C Scholarship: Those candidates, who secure at least 45 percent marks in their annual examination and whose parents annual income does not exceed Rs. 18,000/- are eligible for the award of scholarships.
  • Merit Scholarships to Children of Secondary School Teachers.
  • Freeships to the children of Service Personnel (Junior Commissioned Officers and other lower rank in the Army and Officers and personnel of the corresponding status in the Air Force and Navy killed or disabled in action).
  • Freeships to the Children of Political Sufferers.
  • Freeships to the dependents of Iron Ore Mine Workers.
  • Freeships to the children of Armed Forces personnel killed or disabled in December 1971 hostilities.
  • Post metric scholarship to the physically disabled.
  • Post metric scholarship to the students belonging to the Schedule Caste/ Tribes/ OBC.
  • Financial help from the Provedoria-de-Assistencia Publica.
  • Dnyanadaan : The objective of this scheme is to ensure that no student is deprived of learning opportunities on account of any financial handicap
    the teachers of the college have contributed for this scholarship.The aid is Rs.10000 for student of B.Sc program and Rs.8000 for B.A program.
    The students who belong to financially deprived sections and are not able to get any other scholarship,freeship, govt or semi govt are entitled for this scholarship.
    The student enrolled for BA or B.Sc in this college with family income from all sources not exceeding Rs.3lakh p.a shall be eligible to apply for financial aid.
  • A valid income certificate of the preceeding year is required while claiming the aid.
    A committee comprising of principal and VP and the nominated teachers reserve the right for choosing the candidate.Importance will be given for attendance of the student , participation in activities and the percentage in the preceding year.
  • Scholarships from Management :ย The Management, Dempo Charities Trust provides scholarship for self financing M.Sc students. The maximum amount to all is Rs.100000.
  • Nandakumar Chodankar Scholarship Rs.4500 each for two students having highest percentage at 12th and joining Dhempe College and opting chemistry at T.Y B.Sc level.
  • Financial help from the University Studentโ€™s Assistance Fund.
  • National Loan Scholarship of Rs.720/- p.a.
  • Financial assistance from U.G.C. Studentโ€™s Aid Fund.
  • Sets of Texts Books from U.G.C. Book Bank.
  • Students Aid Fund: Financial Assistance to poor students to meet partly or fully tuition fees or examination fees or to purchase books or similar other expenses. Needy students should apply on the prescribed from available at the college office on the dates, which will be notified on the College Notice Boards in due course.
