Philosophy Association and Swach Bharat Student Internship (SBSI) of Dhempe College of Arts and Science in collaboration with NGO Uzwaad- the rays of hope and NGO Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), organized a street play to mark the International Women’s Day on 8th of March and the venue was Calangute beach, Candolim and Siqerim, Goa. The event was conducted under the guidance of philosophy Department faculty members Ms. Sendra Pereira and Mr. Akash S.N. Salgaokar.
The street play focused on the status of women in the society and how we can empower them. The audience were educated on the abuses done on women and the difficulties faced by them. The act was appreciated by the audience and the feedbacks were received from them. It ended with the slogan ” phool nahi chingari hai, hum Bharat ki naari hai.
