Quark’s Club of Department of Physics, visited Chowgules car service station located at Taleigao, Panaji on 29th November 2019. A total of 23 students (12 Girls and 11 Boys) were part of this one day workshop.
The students were briefed on:
1 – Basic maintenance of the cars.
2 – Preliminary measures to be taken during the breakdown.
3 – To distinguish between genuine and counterfeit parts.
4 – To check through the condition of used cars and to know the running condition of these cars.
5 – The process of denting and painting.
6 – The damping tests on suspensions.
The arrangements for this one-day training was feasible due to the help and support from Mr.Sarvesh Naik (Car Body Shop Manager) with permission from Mr. Amir Volvoikar (Sr.Works Manager, Chowgule Industries Pvt. Ltd. Campal, Panaji).The experts who briefed the students were Mr. Abhishek Poojary (Service advisor), Atish Naik (Service advisor) and Sachin (Floor supervisor) all from Chowgule Industries Pvt. Ltd. Shankarwadi, Taleigao.
