Dhempe College of Arts & Science was established in June 1962 by Late Padmashri Vasantrao S. Dempo, Late Vaikuntrao S. Dempo, the Late Dayanand Bandodkar and other generous members of the society. Presently Dhempe College of Arts & Science is being managed by the Dempo Charities Trust. Dhempe College re-accredited as “A” Grade

DCT’s Dhempe College of Arts and Science was re-accredited as “A” Grade College with CGPA 3.20 points on scale of 4. The NAAC peer team of four members headed by Dr.Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor of Jammu Central University visited the College from 3rd to 5th September, 2015. They visited the departments, laboratories, facility centres and interacted with the stakeholders.

Screening of short films on the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao”

The Department organized screening of a series of short films and documentaries on the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” for the SYBSc students on 29th July 2015 in room 105. Through the 6 short films shown, the students were made aware of the decreasing male –female ratio in the country and understand the importance of balance in the same.
