The institution held its Annual Graduation Day Ceremony on 16th July 2019 in order to celebrate the distingué performance of students at the TYBA and TYBSc examinations conducted by Goa University. The Ceremony featured the illustrious presence of Shri Ganesh Shetgaonkar, Chairman, Goa State Pollution Control Board as Chief Guest and Trustee of Dempo Charities Trust, Shri. Yatish Dempo as Guest of Honour. Principal of the institution, Dr. Vrinda Borker and Vice-Principals, Smt. Manjiri Barve and Dr. Mukta Barve were the other dignitaries present on the dais.
Congratulating the students on their remarkable achievement, Dr. Vrinda Borker reiterated the need for holistic development of students emphasizing that emotional quotient is as important as intelligence quotient for the overall advancement of an individual as well as society. She urged students to make responsible choices as they stood at the threshold of one of the most important junctures of their lives.
Shri. Ganesh Shetgaonkar gave the gathering an inspiring insight into his professional career thereby reinforcing the need for grit and resilience in relentless pursuit of dreams. He also spoke to the students about integrating sustainable practices in their everyday lives for a better future for the planet.
Distinguished alumna Ms. Sharoni Sharma (TYBSc Biotechnology) and Ms. Christina Dedhia (TYBA) delivered Graduation Day speeches highlighting nostalgic snippets from their tryst with Dhempe life. They also motivated their peers to continue the legacy of excellence which the institution had instilled in them as they set out to pursue various paths of life.
The college magazine ‘WAVES 2019’ was released as part of the Ceremony.
The Ceremony concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Edwin Cortez. The event was compered by Assistant Professor (English) Ms. Palia Pandit. The overall event was coordinated by a team of faculty members helmed by HoD of Zoology, Smt. Suchana Amonkar and HoD (Economics) Mr. Edwin Cortez.
